Development

The role of the development office at Assumption University is to identify and provide funds for the activities and programs which define the University’s mandate.

Foremost among these is the newly revitalized and vibrant Catholic Campus Ministry program which provides a range of spiritual, social and related activities to all students at The University of Windsor.

Another mandate of the office is to cultivate and reorganize the alumni base of Assumption, of which there are approximately 930 from the pre 1963 graduates as well as several dozen more recent graduates from the programs of the former IPEM (Institute of Pastoral and Education Ministry) and the former Department of Theology.

A recent dinner event held on September 7, 2012 which celebrated Assumption’s outstanding alumni of the century drew a crowd of 630 alumni and well wishers.

Three series which are also included in Assumption’s seminar and presentations outreach programs are distinguished speakers in The Christian Culture Series/Faith and Culture Series; a Series in Social Justice and another in Spirituality and Well Being.  Finally, Assumption offers concerts with Catholic religious themes such as the internationally acclaimed Irish tenors know as “The Priests” to be held on December 7, 2012 and an interfaith concert celebrating The City of Jerusalem to be held on March 3, 2013.
