Interfaith Prayer Day for Peace
Each year, Assumption University and the Division for Student Affairs at the University of Windsor partner to host an Interfaith Prayer Day for Peace. The purpose of this day is to pause in prayer and reflection at the beginning of the academic year. At the prayer service, individuals from a host of religious and spiritual traditions come forward to offer a prayer, chant, or meditation for peace. In the past, the prayer service has had representatives from the Indigenous, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Muslim, and Sikh communities. The service welcomes the entire campus community and also invites area high schools to join and learn about the diverse religious traditions in our community.
