I began the Graduate Diploma in Catholic Studies while completing my Bachelor of Education, in order to supplement my preparation for a career as a Catholic teacher. I appreciated the practicality and flexibility of course delivery, where a combination of asynchronous and evening classes made the workload entirely manageable. Further, being given the freedom to plan my own course schedule allowed me to curtail my learning experience to the busyness of life. This program challenged to think about course material – spanning across disciplines including theology, philosophy, history, and literature – in direct application to where we find ourselves as Catholics in the world today.

An unexpected benefit of the program was the Christian fellowship I gained. The small class size fostered a sense of community unique to each particular course. This made staff, faculty, and fellow class members exceptionally approachable. Overall, the Graduate Diploma in Catholic Studies provided me with an enjoyable and formative educational experience. –Joshua Myers
