Dr. John Cappucci Awarded King Charles III Coronation Medal

On behalf of the Board of Governors of Assumption University, I am pleased to offer our congratulations to President Dr. John Cappucci on the occasion of his being awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal.

As the general citation for the Coronation Medal specifies, it is awarded to individuals who have given outstanding service to their communities in a variety of ways. In Dr. Cappucci’s case, this has included his tireless efforts to promote interfaith and interreligious dialogue both in the wider community and in his academic work at and through Assumption University.

Like his Assumption University predecessor (and recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal), Rev. E.C. LeBel, CSB, Dr. Cappucci continues to demonstrate his deeply-held commitment to the principles of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and its focus on the dynamic and creative integration of faith and reason — a commitment that has been appropriately recognized in this award.

On behalf of the Assumption University Board of Governors,

(Rev.) Don McLeod, CSB

Chair of the Board
